Backing up and restoring your catalog

“Catalog Backup” in Settings exports your complete catalog (database and settings) as a ZIP file — handy before switching systems or simply as a safety copy. When restoring such a backup, the app automatically backs up your existing database first, so an accidental import never overwrites anything irreversibly.

Export and restore

1. Open Settings → Catalog → Catalog Backup.
2. Choose Export catalog to save a ZIP with the database and settings. Keep a separate backup of your model files.
3. To restore a ZIP, choose Import catalog and select it.
4. Check the replacement warning before choosing Yes, replace.

Caution

Import replaces the current catalog. The app first backs up the existing database. The database copy made before an in-app update is a different backup format: follow the update rollback steps.
